freeYou have most certainly heard the saying "there is no such thing as a free lunch." It’s a common business phrase that is discussed in many economics classrooms across the globe.

But, have you ever heard the phrase, "there is no such thing as a free eye cream?" Well, you should hear it now if you haven’t already. There are plenty of eye creams that will pawn themselves off as a free eye cream, but make no bones about it, every anti aging cream you see out there that is marketed as a "free" product is part of a bigger picture for the company marketing the product.

Some of the best eye creams, wrinkle creams, and other anti aging creams will market their products as free. While this seems like a great deal, it’s never what it appears to be. Here are several examples of "free eye cream" offers we found online.

This is the Hydroderm Wrinkle Reducer free trial offer:

"Start your Risk FREE Trial now to receive a full two-month supply of Hydroderm (retail price: $100.00). You’ll have 30 days from date of shipment to evaluate the product and see the results for yourself. If you enjoy these formulas, simply do nothing. You will be billed the super low price of $84.00 at the end of your 30-day trial period."

While Hydroderm is a recognized, superb brand that has many happy customers, their model was copied by many who may not be as legitimate as Hydroderm.  Most recently a Miami company was sued by the State of Florida for offering "free trial" offers on products called DermAcai Wrinkle Serum and RezV.  The report stated that after a $4.95 free trial offer was inititated by the customer, each subsequent month the consumer was charged $84.95.   There were more than 700 complaints filed against Advanced Wellness, the company offering the "free trial."

Consumers, be very careful when you sign up for "free trial" offers.
