Clinique, owned by Estee Lauder Corporation, is a manufacturer of skincare, cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances, and most notably developed the 3 step skin care system.  Since then, Clinqiue has expanded and created new products, as the cosmetic industry has changed.

The Clinique All About Eyes eye cream is a reasonably priced eye cream; a moisturizing or rehydrating treatment that helps diminish shadows, dark circles and puffiness beneath the eye area.  It is formulated to get instantaneous results, of which, with any product, is questionable.  This product doesn’t make much claim to assisting with fine lines.  The description product on Clinique’s website does state “Lightweight eye cream diminishes the appearance of eye puffs, darkness and fine lines,” however, the jar itself reads “reduces circles and puffs.”  This product is supposed to be used twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening and is said to help keep makeup in place.  Since this product is designed specifically for the region under the eye and the eyelids, it seems that the only makeup it would keep in place is your under eye concealer and possibly your eyeshadow.  It would seem though that this could actually create a slippery base for your shadow, causing it to run or crease.

And over time your dark circles, puffiness and uneven skin is expected to noticeably improve.  Unfortunately for the most part although people do some improvements, they aren’t extremely impressed with the product.

It has botanical ingredients that claim to de-puff the under eye region and this product is scientifically proven to trigger natural collagen production.  It is also supposed to help protect your skin against common irritants.  It is very difficult to obtain an ingredient list for this product, directly on Clinique’s sight and even authorized re-sellers.  Based on the lackluster reviews by consumers, this product must lack the necessary potent peptides that an under eye cream needs to contain in order to actually combat dark circles and under eye puffiness.

Customers who used this product for 4-6 months reported that this cream does absorb quickly and feels nice and light on the skin but it doesn’t battle dark shadows either and doesn’t do anything for the fine lines either.  They actually stated this product doesn’t do anything it claims to do, except for hydrate and moisturize the skin.  It did help to keep under eye concealer in place.

Some customers even reported several adverse reactions to this product, stating this product burned their eyes, leaving their eyes red and itchy.  Others said this product actually dried out their eyes, leaving them with an even more wrinkly appearance.  Many even said that this product burned their eyes for several minutes after application!

Clinique has also developed a product called Clinique All About Eyes Rich, which is supposed to be a more rich version of the Clinique All About Eyes.  Unfortunately, there is a lack of information on the web as to exactly how this product differs, and how it is supposed to be more “rich” than its original version.”

Based on the cost of this product and lack of actual results and information to support Clinique’s claims, we say this is probably a product you want to pass on, despite Clinique’s usually positive reputation.
