EyeCream.com: You started with one product in 2009, and over two years later, you have eight skin care products.  How did you evolve over time and continue to find new products that you knew people would enjoy using?

Schmidt: We listened to our customer base, and constantly follow skin care trends.  While many companies use similar ingredients since their studies are released publicly from the corresponding overseas labs, we take those studies, combine our time-tested ingredient concentrations, and blend them together.  Our head pharmacist is the prototypical “guy in the white lab coat.”  The end result is an actual clinical test on the product we manufacture, not just a study of the ingredients inside the product that were done on an independent level.

EyeCream.com: So essentially you tested product formulas and based on what they did in lab testing, you backed a product into the formula?

Schmidt: Indeed.  We heard a lot of requests for a “cure” for dark under eye circles and acted on improving some prototype skin serums we had made a while back.   While there is no “cure” – if anyone tells you there is, they are not being honest with you – we have formulated an organic mix of proteins and natural antioxidants we feel is the best on the market.  We are constantly among the top sellers on Amazon.com with this product, and it will greatly reduce the appearance of darkness and puffiness for people of all age levels.

EyeCream.com: Does it really work as advertised?

Schmidt: If used as directed, yes.  We did extensive clinical trials on the Dark Circle Serum as well as other products, and we can’t fudge those numbers, they were done by an outside party.  Of course, everyone has different skin, and there is always room for error or it’s possible results will vary.  I like to compare skin care to a diet and weight loss plan.  Many factors, even your current state of well being, go into the end result, but with diligence, patience, and a good supplement plan, the end results are always positive.  The product has been well received by consumers both directly and through our distribution channels, which are growing every year.  We could not be happier with the performance of the Dark Circle Serum and it’s become the product that put us on the map.

EyeCream.com: We enjoyed the product during our tests.  How did you get Danica Jardien to endorse the product?

Schmidt: We started contacting beauty and make-up guru’s and she had mentioned she was struggling to find a product that really worked as advertised.  We sent her some samples and a while later she made some updates on her social media profiles about her success.  When we introduced the expanded line of products, she agreed to do video demonstrations about a year later for the entire line of products.  We’ve been fortunate to have had worked with Danica, she’s truly a guru  and has an amazing track record.

EyeCream.com: What is next for the Wrinkle System Skin Care brand?

Schmidt: We have an amazing tool that works with Facebook.  It will be ready this Summer.  We’re rewarding our customers for referrals that are all tracked extensively through a rewards network.  All you have to do to get a gift certificate is post about our products on your wall.  When people follow that link to our website and make a subsequent purchase, we reward the referring party.  It’s pretty neat and we’re happy with the following we have on Facebook, it’s growing every day.
